Principal's Message

Greetings of happiness and good health!

“INTELLECTUAL DEVELOPMENT WITHOUT THE DEVELOPMENT OF CHRACTER WILL DEFEAT THE VERY END OF EDUCATION’-(MOTHER SERAPHINA).

In a world that is becoming more and more materialistic, the educational philosophy of Mother Seraphina, our foundress appeals to the educators to reflect and act wisely so that character development as well as intellectual development of the students goes hand in hand. The technological and digital revolution has brought about great changes in the modern time especially during this pandemic Covid-19. Mother Seraphina vividly emphasized the role played by a teacher in shaping and moulding the personality of the pupils. According to her, teaching dissociated from the inculcation of virtues and values will not help in developing right attitude in pupils towards self, others, society and different cultures. Children need to be imparted character education which actually incorporates values, ethics, emotional maturity and sense of civics.

Dear students always believe in yourself even when it’s not easy. It is important to be yourself than being perfect. “If you have good thoughts they will shine out of your face like sunbeams and you will always look lovely.” - (Roald Dahl). Be bold and creative and never fear to use your imagination. A pencil having an eraser is a sign that we can make mistake. Keep retrying and never give up. Discipline is the guardrail that keeps you on the path of self esteem. Don’t be afraid to spend the day to translate the vision into reality. Be the leader that you want to be. You cannot change the wind, the circumstances but you can change yourself. “All your dreams can come true if you have the courage to pursue them.”- Walt Disney. Faith in God changes everything. Pray for your parents, for God promptly hears the prayers of children, because they are the closest ones to His kind heart. Wish the best for all your teachers, for they always stand by you, to see you bloom aplenty.

Dear parents, in order to realize the vision our institution, we need your whole hearted support and co-operation . The pandemic has changed our life style. Through the digital platform you get enough time to spend with your children. However busy you may be try to spend quality time with your children. They need your promising words and exemplary life. I am extremely glad to avail this opportunity to thank each one of you dear parents for your collaboration rendered to this school till today. I hope you will continue to do so. Let us become the agents to carry forward the educational vision of our Venerable Foubdress Mother Seraphina, and may the patron of our school St. Francis of Assisi interced for all of us.

Hoping for your continued support,

May God Bless you all.

Ghatia Azam Khan Wazirpura Road, Agra-282 003 (U.P.)

St. Francis Convent School is a branch of the Institute of the Franciscan Clarist Sisters of the Most Blessed Sacrament. The Institute, a religious society was founded by venerable Mother Seraphina, a great educationist, in Italy. The aim of the society is to educate the youth and care for the destitute. The school was opened on 14 January 1957, with five tiny children, on the convent verandah. As days passed by, the request for admission was so great that accommodation became a problem. Hence, on 10 October 1961 the foundation stone was laid for the school building. In the foundation year the K.G. Section became a co-educational primary school. In 1977, Class VI was added.
