Description: Vidyarambh: A Sacred Beginning to Education On March 27, 2025, our school celebrated the sacred ritual of Vidyarambh, marking the initiation of young minds into the world of knowledge. The ceremony commenced with a warm welcome followed by lamp lighting and a poignant prayer dance, invoking the divine presence of the Lord. The resource person, Kunnath Purohit, oriented the parents on parenting skills and their responsibilities towards school. An inter-religious prayer meet was also led by Fr. Varghese. The students, accompanied by their parents, gathered around the sacred altar, to take the blessings from the principal and to further initiate their educational journey by writing the numerals and alphabets on a plate filled with rice. The Principal, Rev. Sr. Sherin welcomed the gathering and explained the significance of Vidyarambh, emphasizing the importance of seeking divine guidance in the pursuit of knowledge. The atmosphere was filled with a sense of excitement and anticipation. The parents, beaming with pride, provided a positive feedback of the ceremony. One of the parents proposed the vote of thanks. The ceremony concluded with the national anthem. We believe that Vidyarambh is not just a ritual, but a sacred commitment to nurture young minds and foster a lifelong love for learning. We look forward to witnessing the growth and development of our students as they embark on this incredible journey.

Ghatia Azam Khan Wazirpura Road, Agra-282 003 (U.P.)

St. Francis Convent School is a branch of the Institute of the Franciscan Clarist Sisters of the Most Blessed Sacrament. The Institute, a religious society was founded by venerable Mother Seraphina, a great educationist, in Italy. The aim of the society is to educate the youth and care for the destitute. The school was opened on 14 January 1957, with five tiny children, on the convent verandah. As days passed by, the request for admission was so great that accommodation became a problem. Hence, on 10 October 1961 the foundation stone was laid for the school building. In the foundation year the K.G. Section became a co-educational primary school. In 1977, Class VI was added.
