Republic Day 2020
Description: The Republic Day is celebrated to honour the day when our constitution came into effect on 26 January, 1950 turning the nation into a newly formed republic. On the auspicious occasion of 71st Republic Day, a joint function was put up in front of the cathedral Parish in which Saint Patrick's was the host this year. The Archbishop of Agra, the most Rev. His Grace Dr. Albert D'Souza was the chief guest on this occasion. The program began with a speech on Republic Day followed by flag hoisting, a group song and synchronised march past by different schools. The theme was ' A tribute to Indian Armed Forces'. All the schools beautifully presented their heartfelt gratitude towards the armed forces who stand tall and protect us while we peacefully sleep. Our school depicted the life of our Army personnel through a very scintillating and emotional dance drama, filling every one's heart with more love and gratitude for our soldiers who spend and sacrifice their lives defending our borders and protecting it from foreign invasion. In the end His grace, Rev. Dr. Albert D'Souza extended his good wishes and urged everyone to contribute in the progress and development of our country and take it to greater heights. The programme concluded with vote of thanks.
